Join Community Tango Ensemble and Northwoods Ensemble
Community Tango Ensemble is looking for musicians that play violin, viola, cello, guitar, bandoneon, accordion, clarinet, flute, piano, and bass. No experience required, all levels welcome. Join a tango group in Minneapolis!
Our ensembles meet Wednesday nights at Center For Performing Arts. We are an open, inclusive, and welcoming set of friends and neighbors that learn, rehearse, and perform tango music together.
Each season includes 8 rehearsals and a performance in both concert and milonga (social dance) setting.

Community Tango Ensemble
Our central and flagship tango orchestra open to all levels and instruments, beginners welcome. Community Tango Ensemble holds no auditions and plays fully-notated scores. Learn the basics of Argentine tango music and enjoy a large ensemble experience.
Northwoods Ensemble
Audition-based smaller ensemble for local musicians interested in deeper and faster study of the style and substance of tango music.
Kingfield Ensemble
An invitation-based group of professional musicians studying the style and character of iconic tango orchestras and modern composers.
